Mylo Stevens

Director of Coaches

My name is Mylo Stevens, age 43 and I love the game!

I originally started coaching because my best friend kid AAU team were in need of a new coach, their current coach had maxed out his skills with them and needed a boost. I enjoyed the experience so much that I decided to put my name in for a high school position with LaSalle High School. I coached there for 4 years as a JV coach helping turning that program around and advancing them to state. We were then offered a chance to coach Selah (in my home town) where we did the same thing and helped get them to a 2nd place state finish in 2 years. I coached 1 year with YVC while starting a new business of my own. I decided to go back to coaching high school because my son was a few years out from that himself, so the next 3 years was helping LaSalle again.

I coach because I love to see growth in players and help them build a strong foundation through work ethic, discipline, respect. I’ve been exposed to many different styles and techniques that I try to pass on to players earlier in life so that they advance faster and are more prepared for the next challenge than I was. I leave most players with: Strive for perfection and be happy with the results. I am truly obsessed with basketball and love seeing kid grow their love for the game as well!
